Allan R. Thomas, age 83, St. Rt. 46 South, Colebrook Twp., died Saturday evening at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.

He was born August 22, 1934 in Jefferson, the son of Earl & Clara (Lampson) Thomas and has been an Ashtabula Co. resident all of his life.  He was married to Lynda J. Burnett on June 28, 1956 in Jefferson.  Mr. Thomas was a painter with True Temper Corp., retiring in 1984 after 20 years of service.  Allan enjoyed fishing, doing auto body work and metal detecting.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda, four children; Terry A. Thomas of Hartsgrove Twp., Debra D. (Dennis) Malensek of Cleveland, TN, Jeffery E. Thomas of Windsor Twp. & Diana L. (William) Millard of Jefferson, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother, Ivan Thomas of Ashtabula.

His parents and a brother, Earl Thomas preceded him in death.
