Alice I. Card, age 96, formerly of Pleasantview Ave., Ashtabula, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born February 18, 1921 in Geneva, the daughter of Herscheil & Lela May (Brandford) Courtney and has been an area resident all of her life.  She was married to Elmer Card on October 7, 1999.

Alice was a member of the Living Water Southern Baptist Church in N. Kingsville, the 55 Plus Club at the YMCA, VFW #943 Auxiliary and she enjoyed square dancing and her cats.

Survivors include four sons, Robert L. (Shirley) Card of Ashtabula, William H. Card of Orient, Harry N. Card, Jr. of Cleveland & Lawrence D. (Sherry) Card of Danville, IL and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Harry Card, Louis Todd & Elmer Card, a son, Jerry Otis Card, a daughter Shirley A. Daniels and a brother, Oliver Courtney.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A. M. at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva with the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock of the Geneva United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10-11 A.
