Agnes E. Swanson, 93, a former Westwood Dr. resident died Wednesday morning (May 24th) at Saybrook Landing where our dear Mother is now resting in her heavenly home. She was born December 13, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of John and Elsie (Ostrom) Adamson.

She married Leslie P. Swanson on June 14, 1947 in Ashtabula. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she had been Luther League Advisor and worked in the church food pantry and sang in the church choir.

She and her husband wintered many years in Scottsdale, Arizona with her daughter Carolyn and her family. She loved baking for her family and for friends that were ill or needing some comfort and also enjoyed knitting baby sweaters and giving them away. She was a caregiver for several families and also volunteered at the Ashtabula General Hospital. When her daughters were young she was also a Girl Scout Leader.

Surviving her are her three daughters, Sharon L. (Bill) Shinskey and Marilyn R. (Jim) Onion both of Ashtabula and Carolyn A. (Mark) Linderman of Scottsdale Arizona; and two granddaughters, Katelyn Linderman and Kimberly (Tyler) Crist, both in Scottsdale.

She is now joined with her precious husband, Leslie who preceded her on March 9, 2017 and by a brother, John Adamson, Jr. and her parents.

A memorial service will be Monday (June 5th) at 4:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 504 Lake Ave. Ashtabula with Rev. James Brandis officiating.
